Charles Dickens is now About America's "Bleak House"

When I was much younger, I really enjoyed reading Charles Dickens.
Dickens' semi journalistic and literary old world prose combine ironic descriptions of the common horrors of England's poor and working class as they haplessly tumbled ( from tragedy to tragedy) between the dark, decadent, and dirtyVictorian and Industrial Revolution era.

Back then, I'd just reached my teenage years and my mother and I had just moved to a new neighborhood, worse than the one we left,  factoring in that I didn't know any one and instead of the one gang that dominated my old neighborhood, this one was dominated by another gang at war with the gang I knew from my old neighborhood, that I had some loyalty to.  In retrospect, today this neighborhood, now called Terror Town is far worse then the streets I walked as a teenager. I also began my freshman year at a new high school that I describe now as the United Nations of gangs, which is where I was introduced to Charles Dickens by my freshman English Teacher.

Charles Dickens helped me negotiate my unstable and seemingly uncertain teenage years by widening  my perspective with historical context and solidarity, which connecting me to a larger stream of humanity.

Today, the disparity between rich and poor is greater in American than when Dickens penned his classics like "A Tale Between Two Cities", David Copperfield, and Bleak House. And todays tragedies are far more horrifying, especially the violence so prevalent in America, producing headlines like the one below from DNA Info Chicago which reads like Dickens narratives of ironic tragedies  updated for America today.

Avalon Park Man Loses Friend, Nephew to Gunfire Within 24 Hours

"AVALON PARK — After a friend was gunned down on Kevin Woods' mother's front porch Wednesday night, the Avalon Park man told police he thought his house was being targeted.

Soon after he pleaded with police to do something, his nephew, Anthony Dickerson, 17, was shot to death just blocks away.

"[Three] hours later my nephew was gunned down," Woods said. "My nephew's gone and can't nothing bring him back."

Anthony was killed Thursday afternoon, three blocks from where Dwan Long, 35, was shot while having after-work drinks with a group on Woods' mother's front porch. A young man walked up, opened fire, and killed Long, police said.

Anthony was killed about 1 p.m. in the 7900 block of South Avalon Avenue after several people opened fire on him as he stood on a porch, police said. He lived in the house next door to where Long was shot the night before...."

JP Morgan ( this time) Caught Stealing from Detroit, the Rest of Michigan, and California.

Beleaguered Detroit

Yep,  The infamous JP Morgan gets caught again stealing from the American public and why shouldn't they continue to steal?

Bankrupting America isn't treason. But being a whistle blower is.

Bradley Manning

If President Barack Obama went after "banks" like JP Morgan like he went after Bradley Manning, then our economy would be growing as oppose to an economy that's lucrative only to Corporate America, and to America's top two percent.

This time JP Morgan was found guilty of purposely manipulating energy markets in California, and in one of America's poorest states, Michigan.

That's right, Bankrupt Detroit being over charged on electricity by a Bank that America bailed out, after robbing America.

JP Morgan's Capo behind this robbery is an "influential leader of the banks commodities business",  Blythe Masters, who then lied about it to federal authorities.  Blythe Masters, is a known international financial criminal, who was behind the modern credit default swap of the famed 2008 financial meltdown, earning her the distinction of being labeled by London's Guardian News Paper, as "the woman who invented financial weapons of mass destruction".

Blythe Masters

Earlier this year, After Blythe and her crew were caught in yet another brazen public heist, JP Morgan was warned that the government would go after them personally if they got caught stealing again. But this crime family is headed by Jamie Dimon a close friend and advisor to the President.

Is it any wonder why the government decided not to go after Blyth and her crew for energy market manipulation, obstruction of justice, and perjury, and then struck the criminal acts from the final report?

In the end JP Morgan was fined 410 Million which for this global crime family is akin to a parking ticket, so much so that JP Morgan Spokesman Brian Marchiony stated in a public gloat

“We are pleased to put this matter behind us,” said Brian Marchiony, a spokesman for JP Morgan. “Due to reserves previously set aside, this settlement will not have a material impact on earnings.”

Translation? It's only a matter of time before  JP Morgan's hands in our pockets, again, until we've finally had enough.

President Obama's Rising Tide Economic Policies Lift Yachts While Capsizing All Small Boats.

After his last weeks smokescreen speech about our "improving economy" that should have been entitled "Rising Tide Lifts All Yachts, Capsizing Little Boats In Their Wake",  President Obama in an interview in todays New York Times entitled, "Obama Says Income Gap is Fraying U.S"  added insult to injury by waxed philosophically about his worries that "years of widening income inequality and the lingering effects of the financial crisis had frayed the country’s social fabric and undermined Americans’ belief in opportunity."

This coming from President who spent the last five years placating Wall Street and the Mega banks
that are now raking in record profits, yet sharing none of it with America.

This coming from a President who was elected in a landslide by a National  and International Movement, ready to be activated to battle for the soul of this country lead by President Obama from the White House. Yet instead of harnessing this Movement, President Obama immediately slammed the door on it, and turned the government over to the very same evil cabal that he pledged to fight.

President Obama is like a farmer who lets the wolves into the chicken coop and into the barn,
then tells his staving family that he's worried about their health.

I believe this President's legacy will be having blown the biggest opportunity to change America and the world for the better.  Shame on him and shame on us for allowing it

Is Barack Obama's "Personal" Take on Race in U.S, As Black President or as The Head Waiter for The American Empire of White Supremacy?

I’m not sure if President Obama, who’s been at best "MIA" from Black America since he was elected, made his "unprecedented" remarks about race, to assuage Black people-still reeling from the Trayvon Martin verdict- or, to reassure white liberal America- who because of the verdict- for the first time had to directly confront the elaborately sophisticated, mostly stealth, and always updating mechanisms of white supremacy, that continuously benefits them as a group.

In his speech President Obama situated himself as a victim of race, when as a candidate for U.S. Senate, he was mistaken for a waiter at an exclusive party in New York.  But what he's really doing is mitigating the true oppressiveness of American White Supremacy on Black males, as if the U.S. Presidency is just as much in the possible trajectory for Black males as winding up in jail, or dead on the side walk like Trayvon Martin.

What's ironic about President Obama's "waiter" comment isn't just that he has allowed the predatory international bankers and corporations to continuously loot the American economy, thereby creating only service sector jobs like waiters and waitresses. But also the fact that President Obama ran and won the Presidency as a progressive change agent, but in fact turned out to be a "caretaker president" or "servant" for the continuation of The American Empire of White Supremacy. In fact I think it's accurate to view President Obama's presidency as a " head waiter" taking the dwindling resources from America's kitchen and serving them to the 2 percent elite.

President Obama's phony jobs report to hide the stench of our decay

Last night/morning, I had a dream that I was watching an artistic performance piece. A young Chinese women, mending from an operation and dressed in a completely red body suit, stood before a card board refrigerator box with black windows drawn on it- with magic marker- to appear like a large high rise building.  She began walking around the box screaming "Pay me my Mother fucking Money American, Pay Me What You Owe!" in a thick exaggerated Asian accent. Finally, after getting no response she set the box on fire while another figure dressed in a black shroud played "America The Beautiful" on a violin.

Today two items sum up the fall of the American Empire and it's "rejuvenation" into a third world nation tourists attraction.

One, finally American"officials" not including in the radical and progressive class are telling the truth ( although self serving) about what's really going on with the failed economic recovery, that cannot produce real and sustainable job growth.

Former Assistance Treasury Secretary( under Ronald Reagan) Paul Craig Roberts, wrote that President Obama's May job numbers -touted by white liberal media sources as an improvement-  are in fact nothing more than  a few low wage domestic service jobs of a third world country.  Jobs such as retail, healthcare gambling, hotel maids, summer seasonal help, servers and bartenders dominate, and have become "competitive" given the high number of college grads with no access to the former jobs that once made America powerful, which have now moved overseas.  While Robert mentions nothing of the fact that Ronald Reagan began this dismantling of the American Industrial Empire, he does point out that our economic profile is that of "India 40 years ago"
In a final twists of irony President Obama continues to call Ronald Reagan his favorite president.

Finally the disparity between America's rich and poor has grown to the extent that U.S. inequality in the
International Labour Organization "2013 World of Work Report" couldn’t be graphed against the formula with the other 25 developed countries. Further while the levels of inequalities are either stabilizing or falling off for most developing countries, except for South American and a few Latin American countries, America continues to grow.
